The Open Press is a non-profit letterpress, printmaking and book arts studio based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Our aim is to provide access to a unique and under-utilized artistic resource in Chattanooga, and to build a community of fine artists and craftspeople around this equipment and knowledge.

Operating Hours

The Open Press relies solely on volunteers for operation. Like most of you, we must work to earn a living, but we have creative schedules. Please contact any of our directors and we’ll be happy to arrange an appointment with you. We’re always looking for qualified studio monitors to host open studio hours.
